The Video Outline
I am in a group with Kelsey. Our Theme is "Physical Activity for Life." We have a few ideas and they are about finding ways to make things physically active. One of our ideas is to have a lady whipping something in a bowl with background music of "whip it good." Slowly the lady will get more and more into the whipping motion and maybe a little dancing. The screen will then say "Anything Counts" and then "Physical Activity for Life." We have also thought about making one of a lady vacuuming and dancing, or making one in the office environment. We are still brainstorming to find one that shows people of all ages doing something active and easy to do which is why we like the home cleaning ones or little things to do in an office.

Internet Safety
Ever since that class I have been really paranoid about the internet. I take it as a good thing because I was really relaxed before and really unaware of the dangers out there. I have tried to fix my profiles so that my birthday isn't posted. I have always been very careful about my pictures. Part of the reason is because our track team coaches will check our facebook pictures and if anything in there looks not good and doesn't represent BYU in a good way then we can get in to trouble. I have also always been really smart about not posting my address and my phone number. I also have a junk email account that I post if I must post an email account. I have also changed my password for different things because they were probably simple to crack. I have added caps and numbers in the middle just to make it harder to get in.
I have done research to look at other aspects of internet safety and I really didn't find anything different than what we learned in class. There were many websites focused on how to keep your children safe on the internet. Google had many videos of their employees talking about out child safety, here is the link. From my research I better learned what I would do for my children and if I had a teenager.
I will have my computer in a central location so that my children can't hid anything that they are doing on the internet. I will tell them what they can and cannot post on the internet. I feel like if my teenagers are informed that will help with a lot of the problems. I would try and keep them away from meeting people online and if they do I would try and keep them from meeting them or go with them to meet them. To keep my children safe, if I have a blog, I will have a private profile so that I can post pictures of them but make sure to not post information of what school they go to and an details like that. If I was a teacher I would mostly tell my students to stay away from meeting people online and to trust no one when it comes to the internet.
I taught my roommate about internet safety and the majority of the things I taught her and we discussed were common sense to her and nothing really new. But I taught her how to find out if a website is secure or not. She loved knowing that and we both spent a little while looking at common websites we use and buy things off of to see if they are secure. Luckily, the majority of them were. It was fun to discuss and my roommate had some great input as well such as how to deal with the teenagers and such. I just really wish I knew more about internet safety earlier.

The website is finally finished!
I really enjoyed this project. I think that learning how to make a basic website will be a very useful tool in teaching and in life. I will use one when I am a teacher because it is an easy way to make announcements and post information for the students. The website also provides a way for parents to feel apart of the class and know what is going on in their child's life.
I think i could make another website if I wanted to. I think it would also take me a lot less time. After I found the insert button it was pretty easy from there. I think this was a great project to do because I can use a website in other aspects of my life if I wanted to. I also feel pretty smart saying I made my own website! My website is:https://sites.google.com/site/dianemcallisterclasssite/

I think I'm starting to get it!
The website is coming along. I think i basically understand how to insert the different things now. Last class was very helpful. I was having a hard time finding the insert button. When I finally found that things started to come together. I just need to do the syllabus stuff, which I am not looking forward to. It has been fun making the website and actually being able to insert things. I would like to find ways to make the website better looking because I am not in love with any of the lay outs. I am still looking for ways to do that. I should probably start focusing on the other requirements though. Things are going good though! no major questions so i think that is a good sign!
